The File-Checker (HFSLIPFC) for HFSLIP

Thx, Mimo. I must report a bug in the latest ver., though.

I have 2681116 and the FC tells me it's obsolete, replaced by 2698707. That's OK. The problem is that the FC is ALSO asking for 2633952. This is wrong, 'cause this one is replaced by 2681116, which I DO HAVE.

The fc should only ask for 2698707. If neither 2681116, nor 2698707 are present, only then the FC should ask for 2633952.

Get my point?

bye!

Can these updates be slipstreamed into an administrative installation point?

(KB2596785)

(KB2596789)

(KB2596843)

These are the updated for / after Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats

They are not slipstreamable, AFAIK. But it's worth listing. People who install Office 2003 are likely to install this Compatibility Pack.

Yes, it's a long time ago.. I can't say not more than I remarked to that updates, but you should find that info here in the forum if you search for that updates. I often asked me if I shuld remove that updates. Probably I should to that....

I found the old posts about that, and I did some further experiments.

Please read my post:

2 It should be changed in the File-Checker

...

not found (H): HF\office2003-KB943452-FullFile-PLK.exe (Update for Microsoft Office 2003)

...

All other locales are not affected. To download Critical Update for Office 2003 (KB943452), select the language from the Change Language list and click the Change button to proceed. Note: This download is not available in English.

new file-checker for Office 2003:

2012-06-04
- Fixed: now showing KB943452 only for relevant language-versions of Office

Download: HFSLIPFC v.2012/05/04 with Office2003-update-list v.2012/06/04

I found no information how to slipstream the Compatibility Pack so it's not listed so far (see also the hint below from Explorer09).

The fc should only ask for 2698707. If neither 2681116, nor 2698707 are present, only then the FC should ask for 2633952.

Fixed! (see below) :)

Hmmm... I think about it.

- Fixed: restored KB2681116 and KB2657025 as replacements for KB2633952

office2003-KB943452-FullFile-XXX.exe (only for NLD, ENU, FRA, DEU, ITA, PTB, ESN and SVE. Not needed for other language-versions of Office)

There is an error. The correct statement should be:

office2003-KB943452-FullFile-XXX.exe (only for NLD, FRA, DEU, ITA, PTB, ESN and SVE. Not needed for ENU or other language-versions of Office)

Yes, youre right! The download-page of KB943452 has confused me where "English" is inside of the combo-box (but I didn't realized that there is just a text-file when you select "English"). Edited by Mim0

Mim0,

I'd like to suggest changing this line in HFSLIP's script:

SET SW1=/quiet /norestart

to

SET SW1=/q /n /z

/q = /quiet

/z = /norestart

The two are the same but the last one is

/n = /nobackup

This is slipstreaming so there's no reason to have uninstallation folders created in %systemroot% directory.
