The File-Checker (HFSLIPFC) for HFSLIP

No, what i was saying is why don't you add the value directly from the reg file, something like this:

Windows Registry Editor 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Package\Protocol\StdFileEditing\Server]

@="%systemroot%\system32\packager.exe /f"

and just merge the reg file.

Or this doesn't work either?

@jvidal

Because the update can't be slpstreamed from HF :lol: It belongs to HFSVCPACK_SW1. Using the reg file is faster and saves space.

The registry entry is not "%systemroot%\system32\packager.exe". It reflects your real system path so on my system it is:

C:\WINNT\system32\packager.exe

for other people it may be

C:\WINDOWS\system32\packager.exe

that's why it's necessary to use "cmd /c reg.exe" to get the real value for %systemroot% :)

@Mim0

This reg file can be used instead of KB2603381 (HFSVCPACK_SW1):

Windows2000-XP-2003-KB2603381-x86-XXX.reg

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce]
"KB2603381"="cmd.exe /c \"reg.exe ADD HKCR\\Package\\protocol\\StdFileEditing\\server /ve /d %systemroot%\\system32\\packager.exe /f\""

I didn't test this, but if %systemroot% contains spaces, I think this patch will fail.
