jaclaz
Just for the fun of it, I tried in Qemu Manager 6 (Qemu 0.10.2).Videocard set as VMware SVGA-IIUsing bearwindows drivers:http://bearwindows.boot-land.net/http://bearwindows.boot-land.net/vbemp9x.zip(the vbe9x\uni version)tested up to 1280x1024 16/24/32 bit without problems (the 1600x1200 works, but it's to big)the 1152x864x16 bit seems just right to me.jaclaz
submix8c
Best Virtualisation Software, to install Windows 98 on Newer OS'sSo was this just an opinion topic or is post#1 going to be fleshed out?
awergh
I only tried it with the Cirrus Logic video adapter so maybe that was why it wasn't the best the VMWare adapter might be a better choice, looks like the Windows SuperVGA driver doesn't work for this either think I've only ever had it work once.1000th Post! Ninho
To any that wonders : yes VPC 2007 runs perfectly on Win 2k, only its installation required some sleight of hand. Don't forget to get the additions for DOS virtual machines from the earlier VPC 2004.The VPC 5.1 runs fine on Windows 98.VPC is a solid piece of software, but VMware is superior / more comprehensive and flexible. You can't mount a "raw" hard disk partition in VPC for instance. Also VMware are the champions for all things networking.
