wazer Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) hellow bluei dont know if you regonize this website. I think it has alot of great information you could implent into 7customizer like info, tweaks, registry etc.tweaks?.services.another service information.have fun btw i feel sorry that you have to recode again now , next time remember to take a backup that syncs with ftp or something Edited November 12, 2009 by wazer
pedilover Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Hi Shorty, you must copy the DVD of Win7 to C: ! then you will not have "an unexpected error".We discuss in the german winlite-forum about such problems.
mirecek1965 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 First of all, i like your little prog :-). I try integrate slovak language into 32 bit Win 7 Ultimate on 64 bit Win 7 and get this error:=== 7Customizer Started===7Customizer verion: 0.2.0OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7600.0OS architecture: AMD64Work folder found: TrueMount folder found: TrueExtract utility found: TrueConfiguration file found: TrueGetting drive infoFree space: 367,803756713867 GBGetting drive info: DoneSaved Imagex path: Saved DISM path: ImageX Path SelectedImageX Path: D:\7Work\imagex.exeDism Path SelectedDism Path: D:\7Work\Dism.exeWindows source path selectedSources folder foundinstall.wim foundinstall.wim size: 2092 MBTesting imagexImagex result begin:ImageX Tool for WindowsCopyright © Microsoft Corp. blue4603 Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 @mirecek1965This have been STICKY! Many thanks for a tool :-DYou're welcome@x-layerHi.I'm running latest version and i get error when try to select Win7 path:Log is attached.Any idea?XI think this is a bug. I will resolve it in the next release. I recommend that you work with an AIO windows 7, though. Not the writer but try putting the program & your image in the root of your main drive eg"C".I do not think that is necessary. @frannerI guess the error is that you have space marks in the path (" "). Try make paths that doesn't have spaces like "C:\DVD\dism\dism.exe" or what is your linking.I do no think that is necessary anymore because I already fix that issue.@jamesbebbyThanks man for the feedback@TheWalrusThank you.I got a suggestion or two to Blue then:1) adding presets just like in vLite is planned? It would be nice.2) when typing product key in, it would be nice if I could paste the whole string in instantly, without having to fill each box separately. Just click in the first one and paste. So far it looks ok.Thanks man for the suggestions. The first one will have to wait until a future release.I will try to implement the second one in the next release.@karlitosI think you need to make a new thread regarding your issue because this thread is only for 7Customizer and not for troubleshooting WAIK.@shortieI think this is the same bug that x-layer found. Wait for the next release.@wazerThanks man for the link. It is funny that I always recommend people to backup their files while I do not. Anyway thanks for the links.@mirecek1965I will look into that and will report back shortlyRegards

I think you want to point to that in the unattended part there is no section for creating users.Yes you can not create users in the unattended part, you can skip user creation to make the auto log on feature work.Maybe later I could implement a part for creating users.Regards
x-layer Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Hi, blue.Thx for looking in this problem. SwedenXP Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 (edited) @blue4603 - Thanx for something that will be really usefull, unfortunately I have not got it to work as I hope - yet.The only thing I have tried sofar is to create an unattended installation, but it does crash... with the message "Unexpected error: Check your log". The version of Your prog is 0.2.0a.You find my log beneath.Inspecting my log everything looks OK until the "Prepearing instructions to execute" part. Here I find "Unexpected Error: Det gick inte att hitta filen C:\Program Files\7Customizer_0.2.0\work\drivers.bat." translated it reads that it is not possible to find the file......drivers.bat. And when I check in the directory there is no file...I do my work on a win 7 pro installed in a Sun Virtualbox, lastest version, which is installed on a XP pro, all x86.Grateful for any tips - and I will try them out./SwedenXP --->Sweden7log.txt Edited November 14, 2009 by SwedenXP

pedilover Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 @Blue4603I have integrated no languages, but 10 updates and some drivers. See my logfile.log.txtlog.txt
blue4603 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 @x-layerNo your source is fine. This is still a bug in 7Customizer. Anyway could you post your imagesinfo.xml and could you try 0.2.1 because I think the problem is solved now. Thanks for the feedback@SwedenXPTry 0.2.1. The problem is solved now. Thanks for the feedback@jbmI think you still did not get my point. When you check skip creating user, the screen for creating user in the installation will be skipped and it will autologon with the user name and password you provided in the unattended part. It the skip user is not checked the installation will ask you for a user name and password. And yes you need to check skip user to enter a user name.@pediloverGlad it worked for you. Thanks for the feedback.

SwedenXP Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 @Blue4603 - Thanx I will try the Updates and the Drivers when I have time...Is there a traditional updatesite at MS, besides the update function under Controlpanel-System and Security-Windows Update so I can choose which updates I want to dl and install via 7Customizer?SwedenXP B)
blue4603 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 @SwedenXP You're most welcome.I did not understand your question completely. Anyways, Here is my answer from what I understood . There is a program called windows updates downloader WUD. It downloads all the updates from the beginning to the latest for the system you choose. If you mean that 7Customizer should have a list of updates that you could download and integrate directly, I think that is out of scope of 7Customizer. Since they are different updates for different architectures, systems, importance .. etc.Regards
