7Customizer - a Windows 7 Customization and Deployment tool

Recommended Posts

Hi myselfidem

As you've test here above adding 2 langpack (EN-HEB) may you let us know please

1) what is the result upsized ISO-DVD?

2) When you've tested that ISO-DVD (with 3 languages FR-EN-HEB) istallation.

a- do all 3 languages are automatically installed?

b- do it ask what language/s is to be installed (1 or 2 or all 3)?

c- then what the main language?

Regards

If you integrate a language pack inside boot.wim and install.wim you can use this language for the installation:

Example for Windows 7 Ultimate x86: boot.wim 2 and install.wim 5; or install.wim 1 and boot.wim 1 if only one image is saved!

With my localized French version with English integrated I can do the installation in English.

Hi,

I got success preparing a DVD with an Unattended Win7 32-bits thanks to 7custmizer.

Now I start preparing a second DVD, this time with an Unattended Win7 64-bits.

The used machine to prepare that Unattended Win7 64-bits is a 32-bits, hope is NOT a handicap.

Regarding the LangPacks, I've a 64-bits .exe filesand I'm using exe2cab.

Although i get success to convert them to .cab files, I have the following error message:

post-11791-0-00238300-1293625467_thumb.j

Is there anyhow to get ride from that message?

I'll appreciate any help

Unfortunately this does not work with 32-bit computer converting exe to cab file for 64-bit file!

You need to use exe2cab.exe on a 64-bit computer to convert the language file executable to cab file!

TNX for the info ;)

As I've not a 64-bit computer, may you be kind converting 2 language files for me?

Regards

Which language packs 64-bit do you need as cab files?

Hebrew and English?

Hebrew.cab and French.cab I'll try installing a Windows 7 english.

But if it doesn't bothering you, you can add english.cab too

Is there any way to add own .reg file to the customization process?

BTW: Wouldn't be it better to put all windows updates to one queue? Instead of many single item queues?

Hello!

You can add your customized reg file inside your folder location (Example: C:\Win7\sources\).

Create inside the folder "sources" the $OEM$ folders

$OEM$\$$\SETUP\SCRIPTS\SetupComplete.cmd

Inside the folder SCRIPTS add your reg file (Tweaks.reg) and SetupComplete.cmd

And use SetupComplete.cmd to launch the reg file:

Tweaks.reg

@ECHO OFF
ECHO.
REGEDIT /S "%systemroot%\Setup\Scripts\Tweaks.reg"
EXIT
