Se7en_UA - RunOnceEx Tester still working with Win 11 2022

Recommended Posts

I have tried to start the tool, but I just get this small thing and nothing happens:

How long should 1 wait?

What version are you using?

Try deleting se7en_ua.ini Check in task manager

and end any se7en_UA process and restart the program.

Or restart your computer, delete the ini and start se7en_UA.

if Se7en_UA.ini does not exist in your Se7en_UA folder then create a new text file and name it Se7en_UA.ini

you must have your folder settings to view file extensions maybe?

I have done that, but nothing has changed, when I start the program. The freshly created INI file is still empty afterwards.

No, I see all file extensions. There is just an internet link named Se7en_UA within the folder. It links to >this< site.

@Fernando 1

Try this new version, totally uninstall and delete everything within.

EDIT: Make sure install to root of a drive. like C:\Se7en_UA

Done, but nothing has changed.

Now I have the ini file, but it is still empty after having tried to run the tool.

First thing

Did you Copy DVD?

Can also copy an EXTRACTED ISO from another folder or Drive.

but it should be writing to the ini even before you copy dvd.

Is this on a usb drive?

EDIT: 1 other thing. It should rename the Appswitch.new to Appswitch.dat. If that didn't happen then rename it.

What do you mean?

All these things happened just after trying to start your tool. I had no chance to do anything with it.

What?

I have a folder named Appswitch.dat and a file named Appswitch.new.

Look here:

I have a folder named Appswitch.dat and a file named Appswitch.new.

I've seen this before, but got side tracked and didn't report it.

While se7en is running try going into se7en install folder and deleting

that appswithch.dat folder and see if se7en continues.

There maybe something else I did but not sure.

Your post jogged my memory. For got I had had this problem.

When processing my autounattend.xml file part of it always gets deleted and I have to edit it

with notepad to add it back in.

I think I will give up playing with this tool.

maxXPsoft gave me the advice to rename the Appswitch.new file to Appswitch.dat (which was prevented by the system, because a folder with the same name alteady existed within the same directory) and now you are telling me, that I should delete the Appswitch.dat folder. Who is right?

Furthermore: How can I delete anything while running the tool, if it is not running at all?

if rename the file appswithch.new to appswithch.dat then run ok
As I already have written, it is impossible to rename the file as long as there is a folder with the same name within the same directory.

EDIT:

At least I got the tool running by doing the following:

1. renaming the folder named Appswitch.dat to Apswitch.da

2. renaming the file named Appswitch.new to Appswitch.dat

That a rather unusual procedure to get a tool working.
