frogman
Is there any way of fooling Windows 98 to let me install the Adobe Flash Player 10 as I need this in order to play some streams.
Guest wsxedcrfv
Wow - I can't believe this hasn't been answered yet.A while back, I installed KernelEx (an old version - 3.6 I think) for some reason (not because of flash). At some later point I got one of those Adobe pop-ups during system startup telling me there was a new version of Flash. I agreed to install it. I didn't think anything of it. At some later point, I was curious to see what version of flash I had - turned out to be 10.0.12.36 (that's what I still have). It's the first version of version 10 I think. Even now, when I try to update it to a newer version of 10, it doesn't seem to update. So most probably you need kernelEx to get to version 10, and maybe even a few registry mods to get the most current version 10. Guest wsxedcrfv
Back in February, this post:http://www.msfn.org/board/last-versions-so...tml#entry838551mentions this link:http://www.msfn.org/board/http-msfn-org-bo...p;view=findpostas a way to install the v10 flash plugin into firefox for win-98.I believe a direct link to that post would be:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=fi...&pid=767664But that post (#767664) does not seem to exist.Perhaps I've got the link screwed up somehow? Can anyone else access that post, or do they have a copy of the information that was contained in that post?
