awwsnap
My unattended Windows XP SP3 installation will become more than 700MB (hence wont fit on a CD ROM, my drive doesn't read DVDs properly), so I'm thinking, is it possible to run the WPI script separately from the hard disk/pen drive? How? Also, another question. How/ from where can I download and integrate all the windows updates after SP3 into my unattended XP installation? Thanks. ricktendo
Yes you can run the installers on a different drive, instead of "%wpipath%\Install\Name.Ext" /Switch use "D:\Install\Name.Ext" /SwitchYou have to add WPI to your CD same as always, just leave the programs/installers on a folder on your second disk and tell WPI to launch them (I used to do this with Office) Edited October 9, 2009 by ricktendo64
awwsnap
Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry I'm very new at this, so can you guide me how to do this in detail? I've created a config of all my installations successfully. Now what?
awwsnap
Hello? Any help on this? I've created a config of all my installations successfully. Now what?
g-force
Because of this config would only fit to your own PC,why don`t you just start WPI on HDD by just 1 click manually?
awwsnap
Yeah, I'll do that. One last question. Is it possible to put the latest Nvidia drivers *with* the Nvidia control panel etc. in my XP CD? Backing up the display drivers is pretty easy, but I'd like to set it up such that the whole Nvidia control panel installs alongside.
g-force
There are reported bugs in the latest Nvidia-Driver.Just today I wrote a letter to Nvidia-Support to fix some lines in the .inf-file.The installation of the Controlcenter either fails at T-13 - when you`re logged on, it installs properly.Look this thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/nvidia-forceware...p;hl=beatmaster
