EyesOfARaven
I've got a Gateway P-6831FX laptop, with an IDT/Sigmatel audio card (one of those HDA things). Whenever 7 goes into it's sleep/hibernation mode (they combined them, it's kinda wierd because they still refer to both, and powercfg /h off doesn't stop it from entering this mode...), and comes back, the sound is completely silent (though it tries to play, and the volume sliders all show that there IS sound coming through, I just cannot hear it). This forces me to reboot my machine far more than I'd like to.Ideas? Oh and I'm using the stock drivers that come with Windows, and have run update.
MagicAndre1981
I also have this issue with a cheap AC97 (intel) sound on my old notebook with Windows 7 Ultimate x86. Sometimes it helped to restart the 2 Windows-Audio services. The sound also sometimes stops with a strange clicking noise when I play music or watch video files. After this clicking noise I can't hear sound. On RC everything was fine.I also have no idea how to solve this
