cybpsych
go to Options | Save | Save file in format: *.docx or *xlsx or *.pptx (depend on the app)
R600
You want to be careful about changing the settings, especially if you're working with documents that needs to be shared/distributed to colleagues that do not use Office 2007.Your IT team have installed and set it up in compatability mode for a reason. But, I guess, as long as you are sure you will save in the format that others can open the file with then there's no harm in changing the settings as suggested by cybpsych. wcology
go to Options | Save | Save file in format: *.docx or *xlsx or *.pptx (depend on the app)yea I checked that. It's in .docx and when I save it defaults to docx but when I create a new document it has "compatibility mode" in the title bar. I even deleted normal.dotm a few times. Normal.dotm it self opens in 2007 format but when I click on the new document it starts in compatibility mode.
cybpsych
strange. it works fine for me. changing the option to DOCX and vice versa works as expected when creating new document too.
