jbm
My sound card works in both the 32bit and 64bit versions of xp and in the32biy\t version of win 7 RC. But in win7 64bit when I play a sound file.It plays for a few seconds then becomes distorted and then the soundstops. I'm using the latest drivers from creative as of 7/22/2009.I found this solution in the creative labs forums which worked for me.Using msconfig limit memory to 4095MB.when I go back to 4096 \MB the problem returns
CoffeeFiend
Sounds like more bad drivers from Creative (that's half the reason I don't buy anything from them anymore).
Chappy333
I would agree that this is a driver issue, especially since you say that by changing the amount of memory by 1MB, it will work. That sure sounds like the driver is having issues with memory mgmt.
