How to backup a dual boot system Vista/Xp with Acronis

Hi I want to install Vista for the first time but withou leaving my XP.

I had a dual boot but when I restore my XP image with acronis true image it broke my dual boot.

The boot screen with the Vista choice is gone. My xp is install on an primary and active C: partition

and Vista was on an primary and active partition (on a other physical drive) G:

I have read about the mbr and the Vista BCD, but I am confuse How can I sucessfully backup

the 2 OS without broking my multiboot ?

You should be able to backup the two partitions and the MBR with acronis.
