ElAguila
I joined a homegroup that contains my computer and one other. Since doing this I have noticed in the event logs that the security log is being written to about every 10-15 seconds. One is a login and the other is a logoff over and over. Any idea why this is happening so frequently? The other machine in the homegroup is just setting idle. Edited April 15, 2009 by ElAguila
kickass94
Might be a bug? But what build (of your computers) are you running?

fizban2
when ever the machine interact with each other (indexing shared folder etc) the machine will need to interactively logon to the other machine to execute this process, hence the logons
ElAguila
I am not sure what is going on then. Indexing is turned off on both machines. Why would they need to logon every 15 seconds? Is there anything I can do other than removing the homegroup?
