Andromeda43 Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Access Denied,Would you care to share, just where you got your version of Win-7?I'm still using 7048, (64 bit) and I love it. It runs so much faster than my XP-Pro 32 on the same PC.Except for WinMail not working, I've had no real problems with it.The little script to put "Take Ownership" in the right-click context menu makes working with it a lot easier.Has that script been discussed in this forum. I can't remember where I found it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
spacesurfer Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 "Take Ownership" is simply a command prompt script that runs. It's added to the context menu via registry:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00;Created by Vishal Gupta for AskVG.com[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas]@="Take Ownership""NoWorkingDirectory"=""[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\runas\command]@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F""IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F"[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas]@="Take Ownership""NoWorkingDirectory"=""[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas\command]@="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t""IsolatedCommand"="cmd.exe /c takeown /f \"%1\" /r /d y && icacls \"%1\" /grant administrators:F /t" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
