Oooh, RP 10, wow

I can't wait.

If you do make the dll change in the next RP then how about basing it on RP config. What I mean is if you select XP theme then the XP shutdown dialog shows. If you select Vista a Vista one shows. And finaly if you choose classic then no dll is replaced (although there are 2 in the classic theme, ME's box and 98's box, difference being one uses drop box and other uses option buttons.)

This idea would also go in hand with RP9's motto of being modualr so you can choose what extra features you want. Id have em all. :)

I thought about that (in fact, i created DLL and was sort of surprised how much shutdown.exe sucks)... but Vista/7 does not even have a shutdown screen.

WindowBlinds skins may have XP shutdown skinned, but does it really matter?

If there would be new shutdown replacement, then it have to be useful.

The links are dead!

I've sent a PM to Tihiy, but if somebody else has the tools and can throw them up online someplace it would be appreciated.

Edit: He fixed them - tossed them on Rapidshare for me/us.

BTW, my patched SYSMON may interest you, although it'll not solve your issue. Note that the Win ME version works OK on 98SE, and that's the one I'm presently using.

Olá,

Is there a newer link for this patched sysmon app? Rapidshare says the file's been deleted.

Joe.

Here are some lightweight tools made by me which you may have seen before, or may not.

It's mostly abadon-ware (no further developed), but all stable and useful.

They should work on 98/Me.

Network activity indicator

iptest.png

Nice applet blinking like 2000/XP does. Shows simple network stats and open ports.

Link: http://tihiy.net/files/IpTest.zip

Install: extract dll&exe into \windows\system, run install.reg and re-login.

Uninstall: run uninstall.reg, delete dll&exe from \windows\system.

This tool is really cool. Thanks :thumbup:w00t:

Link: http://tihiy.net/files/gdipthms.zip

Install: copy dlls&exe into \windows\system. Run regsvr32 gdipthms.dll.

Remove: Run regsvr32 /u gdipthms.dll. Run regsvr32 /i browseui.dll. Delete gdipthms.dll&gdipsrv.exe from \windows\system.
