morning
Hello everyone.I just downloaded internet explorer 8 final version (It's released today)I want to integrate IE8 into my WinXP source, but there are no ways to integrate.nLite supports up to beta2, HFSlip doesn't support IE8, and it can't integrate with command-line parameter (Like /integrate in hotfixes)How can I integrate IE8 into my windows source ?I know it is released today, but I hope i can integrate.(Sorry, bad English)Edit : I found a way.But i haven't tested yet.First extract the IE8 installation exe. Then Click Start > Run and type this:[IE8 Folder]\update\update.exe /integrate:[WinXP Source]I hope this will work. submix8c
Hope it goes well (MS quote) -Slipstream installation. This enables the deployment of Internet Explorer 8 and customizations as part of the Windows Vista operating system image, eliminating the need to install the browser separately. When Internet Explorer 8 is deployed in this way, it will behave as part of Windows Vista, thereby improving desktop consistency and manageability.Let us know, ok? (seems like it should work...)edit - if above is true (Vista having IE7?) may have to do IE7 first. Anyone else? Hummer
I get "Extracted packages cannot be integrated. The /integrate switch must be used with the original software update package." error when I try that
Hummer
does anyone know the switches to integrate IE8 beta2 into an xpcd?
Romeo29
From Microsoft:Slipstreaming Internet Explorer 8 is only supported in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 do not currently offer a solution for slipstreaming Windows components, which are built using update.exe.So you cannot slipstream using update.exe in XP.Links:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-...ess/it-pro.aspxhttp://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/06/2...eaming-ie8.aspx

Stacey Melissa
You could give this switch a tryIE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe /quiet /update-no /norestartor for more switches, open cmd box and type: IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe /helpThat's what I used successfully during RunOnceEx. Exactly the same as with IE7.
submix8c
Sooo, bottom line - no "direct integration". Only solution is during install via (see post above).

andrew84uk
You could use IEAK 8 kit and then just use msi switches to install it.
