stones
Here is my situationI recently changed my DHCP configuration to have the DNS servers provided by my ISP as primary DNS and my internal DNS as secondary. We are a public library. Our website is hosted off site. However, our website links to our online catalog server that is on our internal network. When we click the link to the catalog server while on our internal network, the browser cannot find the page. The IP address on the link on our website is one of our public IP addresses at our library. When the DNS server returns the external IP address, our internal computers can't see it. I think what I need to do is set up some sort of alias or a static route, but I'm not sure exactly what to do. Thanks for your help. Our website is here. luke.mccormick
typical configuration is internal clients get your internal DNS for primary, and either use forwarders on that server to point to external, or with no active directory you point the secondary to external DNS or still use forwarders from the primary DNS.
