attach your log.

also let us know if the files have made it into the i386 folder in SOURCESS by expanding and checking the versions of Spupdsvc.exe (should be 6.3.13.0) and Wmp.dll (should be 11.0.5721.5260).

I'd suggest to revisit the WU lists on the first stickied thread and get the appropriate hotfixes. It seems that you are trying to slipstream a WMP11 hotfix, but you aren't slipstreaming WMP11. You have 5 IE7 hotfixes, there's only 3 required (plus the installer). There are 5 WMP11 hotixes (plus the installer) and you only have 1 hotfix. Also, HFSLIP is detecting a modified source. HFSLIP works best with a virgin source.

Tommy the reason why you are seeing those hotfixes is because if I don't put them in the HF folder Internet explorer 7 will not install even though the original SOURECE folder is the previous SOURCESS folder from the last set up updates I made.

For some reason if I dont put these hotfixes in it is like it does not know they are installed and I have to reinstall them.

Also Media player 11 is already installed on the CD that is why you do not see it in the HF list the first time I slip streamed it it always kept it updated and I never had to resintall it

please help!

Holy run on sentence! Sorry pal. You're just going to have to use a virgin source (like the rest of us clowns). lol. It's not the intent of hfslip to detect what you already did to your cd. The problem lies is that when slipstreaming wmp11 or its hotfixes, hfslip first detects if the wmp11 installer is present. If it's present, the script branches off to extract key folders of the extracted hotfix. Since hfslip is not detecting the wmp11 installer, it won't branch off. Since you already slipstreamed the wmp11 installer, maybe you can just slipstream the individual binaries manually.

a " virgin source" means, there is a folder named "source" in your hlslip folder and in this folder you copied the content of the original w2ksp4 cd.

hfslip creates after the slip of all the hotfixes and goodies the folder "sourcess" and every month when ms give us new hotfixes and patches this folder is new builded and used to make a new cd.

u don´t touch the "source" folder.

use nlite or other tools after hfslip has done the process. ;)

have fun B)

A "virgin source" also means clean source. All slipstreaming tool generally requires "untouch" source so that output (SOURCESS) can be managed predictably.

If u retain your HFslip slipstreaming structure using clean source, adding/slipstreaming new hotfixs that usually release every month would be much easier and less problem.

BTW, u can try to put KB959772 in HFSVCPACK_SW1

I assume you are using clean source as I do that and it works.

My WMP11 are in HF sub-folder (I slipstreamed WMP11 installer in extracted form, saving some extacting time during run)

Good luck
