turbines
I am trying to merge or import reg files into an nLite version of XP SP3 for use with a CF drive. When I double click on the reg file I get a message that the information was added to the registry but after I reboot and check the registry editor none of the changes show up. I get the same result if I right click and select "merge". Can someone tell me what I am missing.
johnhc
turbines, one of the weird things about this process is that if the entries contain errors, you still get the message that all went well, only the changes are not there. Do you have a blank line between the Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 line and the first key, at least one blank line between keys and at least one blank line at the end? You don't need to reboot to see the changes, just click Refresh under View of Regedit. You do need to reboot for the changes to take effect. If you continue to have problems, please post your .reg file and we'll have a look. Enjoy, John.

johnhc
turbines, you need to place the data on a separate line, like this:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]"Config"=dword:00000017It worked fine with this change. I think the same for the other. Enjoy, John.
