how difficult is it to maintain a complete unattended install?

I'm gathering I can use nLite to create an XP install CD that installs and configures all my applications. Sounds cool, but how difficult is it to maintain it? I add applications frequently so I'd constantly need to be updating my nLite install. I'm sure others are in the same boat.

I use RVMIntegrator to update the source, nLite to shrink and customise, and the $OEM$ folders for applications. This means that updating apps doesn't affect the XP source, and vice versa. See the MSFN Unattended guide for more info.

As long as you use a sensible folder structure, maintenance is fairly easy. This is mine:
