Guest OptimusBob
I slipstreamed KB960139 for Windows XP Pro (Corporate Version) and after installing Windows, I received an error "A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error Code: 0x80004005". I removed this update from my slipstream and the problem went away. I was able to install it after Windows XP was installed.Has anyone else seen this or have a way to fix it? redxii
KB960139 has two "dpcdll.dll" and one is for Home Edition and the other for Pro, even then the retail and corporate have a different dpcdll.dll. I am not sure that either dpcdll.dll in that hotfix is the correct one for volume license XP Pro.
ricktendo
No matter what version of the file you use you will get error...when you install this hotfix dpcdll.dll is not copied anywhere so back up dpcdll.dl_ from your i386 folder and after you integrate this hotfix put it back so you dont get thisEdit: Correct redxii I installed the hotfix on pro vl and the file did not get added, have not tested home yet Edited January 2, 2009 by ricktendo64
