M2GD,

Glad to hear it worked for you. I have learned so much from these forums, it is nice to finally contribute something.

Sp0iLedBrAt, I hope you got it working too.

Yes, I did get it to work. The updates appeared to integrate; I uninstalled everything and installed the new package, but didn't want to rush it until I went to Windows Update. Here are the results:

Thanks for tip on how to install KB982168. I never knew there was a program called IExpress. Once I figured out the install command and named the file correctly, everything worked flawlessly.

Would you mind explaining what install command you used for those of us still in the dark? Thanks!

New updates today. NDP30SP2-KB982524-x86.exe contains NDP20SP2-KB976576.msp and NDP30SP2-KB977354.msp. If you're like me and just use .NET 2.0 you can download NDP20SP2-KB976576-x86.exe from here.

I used the same IExpress method for KB982524 that I used for the prior updates as discussed previously. KB976576 and KB977354 were processed, no errors, and WU was happy once again. I have attached a pdf tutorial of the IExpress process I used to make the installers. I hope this helps everyone.

I am trying to create an up-to-date merged .NET Framework-installer for the Norwegian language, however, some hotfixes are missing. My current installer installs this (fetched from Add/Remove Programs):

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 Language Pack - NOR

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 Language Pack - NOR

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Language Pack SP1 - nor

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

And right away Windows Update asks for the following updates:

KB976576

KB982168

KB974417

KB979909

After installing these updates, it asks for a reboot. When going back to Windows Update after the reboot, it asks for the following updates as well (under Custom -> Optional):

Erlisperlis,

From your procesdata file I can see some updates are not being processed...

There is at least one thing I can help you with:

NDP30SP2-KB982524-x86.exe <---- Did you download it and put this directly in your workfolder?

You should first make the silent installer as Krose instructed in his PDF Tut.

It includes decompressing the .MSP files and re-compress them as individual silent installers.

Your procesdata does not show these individual updates, neither your work folder contains them.

I have just made the .Net all-in-one with the tips from Krose and everything got processed.

It all comes down to reading a bit, once you got it it's fairly easy.

Strel if you are out there, thanks for this wonderful tool!

Cheers

Escorpiom.

Erlisperlis,

Escorpiom is correct. I would add that you do not need NetFx20SP2_x86.exe and

NetFx20SP2_x86no.exe when you have dotnetfx35.exe and dotnetfx35langpack_x86no.exe.

It's one or the other but not both.

Problem: Nlite + silent .net maker

I would like to integrate the .net 3.51 SP1 into my unattended Windows XP Pro english CD.

I 've created a t13 file (look "Outputfile") and tried to integrate it with nlite. but the CD doesnt grow. It seems that it didnt work at all.

The OutputFile with 4MB is pretty small. Is that normal? :)

Do i have to edit something? Plase give me a hint. Im not able to solve it with google.

Help would be very very appreciated!

Hello Wush,

I've checked my file size, it is only 4.85MB.

Guess yours is OK, just test it.

In your .ini you have only the last one (3.5SP1) selected.

You could select all .Net 3.5 components to have the complete package.

It will be a lot bigger.

Cheers.
