[Release] Nero Lite v9.2.6.0

Try these steps:

go to C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Nero \ AdvrCntr4

and rename the file:

Neropatentactivation.exe, NOSProductRegistration.dll, NOSUsageStatistics.dll

to

Neropatentactivation.old, NOSProductRegistration.old, NOSUsageStatistics.old

These 3 files can also be deleted, it also saves 4 MB space from unneeded things.

Maybe the installer could implement this (exclude the 3 files or delete them).

To delete a file in three automated installation, the only method that I have the easier it is to replace them with text files empty, of course, renamed as the original with its extensions and "packaged" in a self-extracting file with its path of destination

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\AdvrCntr4

Hi !

Thanks for the light version of Nero 9. The silent install works fine, however, shortly afterwards, the program compatability assistent pops up saying that the program may not be installed correctly. I usually click on "the program was installed correctly".

Is there any way to prevent this assistent from popping up ? This is the only program where this happens.

This is on a German Vista Ultimate, x32 and/or x64.

Thanks,

Alex

@ DMD61

Thanks for the tip. I'll see to add that.

@midiboy

That's really strange. I'm using Vista Ultimate x64 and I never had that pop-up. It is strange, why it shows temp path, where files are extracted as problem. Maybe there is a problem with how WPI launch it. I noticed that you use CMD /C command to launch some program. Do you launch Nero Lite in the same way? Try to launch it directly as shown in first post.

Cheers ;)

Hi mara,

In my case, WPI just starts cmd files that are in the relevant program directory. Those cmds then start the programs. That way I am more flexible in the choice of the tool installing my programs.

The cmd that starts Nero light simply calls the program like this:

cd /D %~dp0
start "" /wait ".\nero_lite_installer_9.2.6.0.exe" /unattended /serial=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I think this is correct, no ?

Bye,

Alex

This is not from Lite installer.

The rest of it is false alarm. I'm really start to hate all antivirus company's. Everything made with AutoIt is classified as a virus. You can safely use Lite installer. It does not contain viruses, that is just a false alarm.

Cheers ;)

Sigh, thanks Mara. I just wanted to make sure.

On another note, trying to install this on Windows Server 2008 x64 fails, and my anti-virus deleting files during installation probably isn't related to that. (As you saw above, it complained about the full installation program as well.)

mara

i still waiting a spanish version :s

im going to install my unattended windows in all the pcs of my company

it will be very useful to have nero 9 lite...and not old nero 8...

It will be very soon. I'm not having much time, but I'll try to finish it this week.

Antivirus can be related, but you need to give me more details what's wrong. What do you mean when you say installing fail? I'm running Lite installer on Vista x64 with no problems.

Cheers ;)

Really like your effort, but I think I found a bug.

Personally I would like to install a set of programs that is in between the micro and the lite installer. Therefore, I was really happy to see that the lite version offers a dialog in which one can use checkboxes to (de)select which components one wants to install. Unfortunately these checkboxes are ignored and all applications available in the lite edition are installed anyway...

Can you have a look at that? And solve it?

EDIT: not completely true; CoverDesigner and BurnRights were installed although deselected, Express indeed not installed while deselected (so less clear what's wrong)
