fdv
Now that the update lists are in place at my site (see the pinned topics), and given that Windows 2000 is the oldest OS with the greatest number of hotfixes for it, it's probably time for HFSLIP users who use Win2k to weed out obsolete hotfixes -- and there are a LOT of them. The current Win2k list has, at the bottom, a list of obsolete fixes, and it's a long one. Since the list won't be retroactively tracking obsolete hotfixes, the best thing to do, IMHO, is for everyone who uses Win2k to delete the hotfixes in their HF folder, and re-download everything listed here. That way, we'll start clean for 2009.KB files to be removed / do not use890046896424904706908523911562911567912919916281917159917422917734917736917953918899920958921503921883922616922760923689923694924191925454925486926122 (incorrectly listed -- you actually do want this one)928090929969931768932168933566935966937143938829939653941202941568941644941672942615944533946538947864948881950759950760 Edited December 15, 2008 by fdv
Brabant
A quick scan gives that 926122 is both in the "re-download" list and in the "to be removed / do not use" list. Or maybe I don't 'get' the purpose of this post.
tommyp
Brabant - You are absolutely correct. The list was updated and sent to FDV for re-hosting. The rest of the list appeared OK. Thanks!
Brabant
In TweakUI, New tab, there's a "new bmp" icon. See attachment if unclear. The Right-click context menu is OK (no "new bmp").Apparently TweakUI still sees "new bmp" somewhere. This was also in 8e. Ambassador
Wrong thread perhaps?
Brabant
Not sure if we want to keep the new fileset thread alive. Most issues there have been solved. Some things I saw:1 There's a WINNT\ime\imejp directory. Did we have that?2 There are files in WINNT\Help that I can't imagine have to be there. Like agt0410.hlp and CNTs and CHQs.3 There's still a WINNT\Temp directory.4 System sounds we still have.Only the last two are known and have priority zero for all I care. Maybe Sounds a bit more than zero because the first event listed is called %ASTERISK%. Edited December 17, 2008 by Brabant
