submix8c
Folder Windows\Inf has a lot off olds files. I removed all mdm*.inf files.Uhhh, you might want to be careful about clearing the INF folder. Yes, if you don't have a given piece of hardware (e.g. a modem/modems as you have deleted) it's ok to delete that INF file, but if you delete something (a device) you have you will need to reinstall it. There appears to be roughly 14mb of files in my INF folder, so one would assume that if you were to track down all devices and the INF's and related software, remainder of unused could undoubtedly be deleted. Again, TAKE CARE when doing this, or you'll go belly-up! Edited December 16, 2008 by submix8c
PROBLEMCHYLD
I know that you use Hyperterminal bro, but Hyperterminal on Windows 98 is outdated and AFAIK the Windows XP version works fine on Windows 98, since it's just bought by Microsoft. An update couldn't hurt right? What are the files from WinXp and do they need to be Registered
marxo
The filenames should be same as the ones on Windows 98. Just replace.
