For Feb I am finding that if you remove, from the registry, ...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_DISABLE_ISO_2022_JP_SNIFFING]
"*"=dword:00000000
"explorer.exe"=dword:00000001
"iexplore.exe"=dword:00000001

...which is what KB2467659 does (Addresses an issue introduced by MS10-90: Automatic detection of Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) encoding), it no longer is shown as being needed when you install the new Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (MS11-003 KB2482017) when you visit WU.

Anybody else seeing this?

These updates can not be integrated into HF folder ;

Thx for the info. I think the Server 2003 updatelist is maintained by fdv, or "was" at least...

I just can say that...

...for KB975558 for Windows XP you need at least HFSLIP 1.7.10 (beta J v3).

...for KB975254 for Windows XP you need at least HFSLIP 1.7.10 (beta_D).

Don't know if this will help for Server 2003.

@Mimo

I am using version 1.7.10 beta HFSLIP J v4

But even in Server 2003;

KB975558 and KB975254 can not be integrated.

Did he I wonder HFSlip be updated in this direction?

This includes the integration of IE8?

KB971029 upgraded to a high-priority update today. Update for Windows Autorun.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/967940.mspx

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971029

I guess the reg entries from KB967715 are no longer needed. I deleted HonorAutoRunSetting and 967715 reappeared on WU but if I first installed 971029 (with HonorAutoRunSetting missing from registry) then KB967715 didnt show. So as others have already said...

KB971029 replaces KB967715

Hi -X-,

thanks for the info about your experience with Windows-Update and autorun-updates.

But even if shell32.dll of KB967715 was replaced by shell32.dll of KB971029 (what makes WU happy as you say), it's important to have the HonorAutoRunSetting=1 (what's done by KB967715) if you want to disable AutoRun correctly.

Or is HonorAutoRunSetting=1 the default-value for Windows when the HonorAutoRunSetting is not existing in the registry? In this case, AutoRun can be correctly disabled w/o this setting. But... I don't think so but I could test it. :)

Mimo

PS: Of course, if HonorAutoRunSetting=1 was needed in the registry, KB967715 can be replaced by a reg-file when using HFSLIP

Well the shell32.dll that is currently being used is in critical security update KB2483185 (version 6.0.2900.6072). shell32.dll in KB971029 (version 6.0.2900.5853) doesn't really get installed. Only shsvcs.dll from that package.

As far as HonorAutoRunSetting, only CD and DVD drives will AutoRun once KB971029 is installed so I don't think that setting does anything anymore.
