New publisher fonts jagged

I just recently downloaded and installed some new fonts to use on my Microsoft Publisher 2003, however, when I use them or print them they show up with jagged or pixelized edges. I noticed the fonts are not ttf but otf and was wondering if that might be the problem. I really need to be able to use these fonts. Is there any way they can be converted to ttf or another way to correct the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

otf is not the issue. true type fonts (ttf) is the older format. open type font (otf) is a newer and actually in windows 7, all fonts are in otf rather than ttf.

seems your problem might be related to your printer. do you have the correct drivers? what type of printer is it?

print a test page and see how well that prints.

I don't think the printer is an issue because all my other fonts print fine and besides it shows up pixelized on the computer screen as well. The only difference between these fonts and my others is that these are otf and my others are ttf. I don't know. This is so frustrating.
