KyotoMint
If you have another copy of peid installed on comp, the copy in uni extract will reset the settings whenever it is used. This can get really annoying since the one in uni extract directory will take over shell extensions since peid automatically writes to registry whenever it is closed. I patched peid to prevent it from writing to registry (download here). Just replace the copy inside Uni Extract dir with this and you should be all set. I have code in there to deliberately work around that issue - any existing settings should be preserved and reset after execution is complete. I'll look into it. KyotoMint
Yep that's exactly what is happening. Specifically, the reg info that gets messed up are in the paths below. So you could back them up then restore them once Uni Extract is done. Or you could just use the patched peid version that prevents it from ever altering these entries in the first place. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PEiDHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\Scan with PEiD\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile\shell\Scan with PEiD\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Scan with PEiD\
