When i open the properties on a excel file and then go to advanced summary why is it that on the last date saved the date can be changed? Dislocated Time Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 Sometimes the properties of a file will need to be changed, for example when someone needs a back-dated file, as is the case with a lot of our customers.They find mistakes in files that have already been logged in their files as being final versions. If you right-click on a file without opening it and choose properties, you'll find data that doesn't get changed even if you change the properties inside Excel.
