adabo
I configured my system for RAID 0 with a fresh xp pro install and the local disk/boot drive is F. This is frustrating since I'm used to C. Is there a safe way to change the drive letter to C. Disk management wouldn't allow it.Thanks in adance,-adabo
jaclaz
Is there a safe way to change the drive letter to C.Short Answer:NO.Long Answer:NO, but it is possible, though only through a rather complex procedure, not entirely documented and prone to problems, some references:http://www.msfn.org/board/Change-Boot-Driv...ter-t90495.htmlhttp://www.petri.co.il/change_system_drive..._windows_xp.htmhttp://www.msfn.org/board/Force-windows-dr...te-t112610.htmlhttp://www.msfn.org/board/drive-letter-pro...-b-t112917.htmljaclaz
adabo
Thats jaclaz. I decided that the process was too lengthy and had bug potential. I reformatted and installed without Nlite (xp default) and the problem is now solved.
