I have successfully put a list together of all the apps that I want as silent installers except softsqueeze and I was wondering if anyone knew what the command switches are for it to install it as a silent application.

I tried /S but it just runs normally.

Please if anyone has any idea or ideas on what to test please let me know.

Thx,

DungFu

If this is compiled with the Install4J installer, it SHOULD have the -q switch, which it doesn't, so the chances are, that it doesn't have a silent switch.

You could use AutoIt:

Here's the code I used:

Opt("WinWaitDelay",100)

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode",4)

Opt("WinDetectHiddenText",1)

Opt("MouseCoordMode",0)

Run('softsqueeze_windows_3_5.exe')

; I couldn't use the AutoIt window info identifier, the only thing that that showed was SunAwtFrame all the way through.

$Mydir=@ProgramFilesDir&'\SoftSqueeze' ;This is the directory where the program is installed.

WinWait("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

If Not WinActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","") Then WinActivate("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

WinWaitActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

Send("{ENTER}")

WinWaitActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

Send("{TAB 2}{SPACE}{TAB 3}{ENTER}")

WinWaitActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

Send($Mydir)

Send("{ENTER}")

WinWaitActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

Send("{TAB 6}{SPACE}{TAB 3}{ENTER}")

Sleep(2000)

WinWaitActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

Send("{TAB}{SPACE}")

WinWait("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

If Not WinActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","") Then WinActivate("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

WinWaitActive("Setup - Softsqueeze 3.5","")

Send("{TAB}{ENTER}")

oh ok thanks for the reply and I will have to try out AutoIt and install4j and see how they work. Hopefully I can get softsqueeze to be silent because that would be sweet!
