mujeebp Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 I am trying to install active directory automatically on windows 2000 server using the command dcpromo /adv /answer:%systemdrive%\Answer.txt While installing DNS it prompts for inserting windows 2000 server CD. FAT64 Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 DNS isn't installed by default on a Windows 2000 Server, so you would need the CD regardless of whether you do a manual installation or an unattended installation. B) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
