RegEditX makes your registry editing more productive than ever.

RegEditX extends the standard Windows Registry Editor (REGEDIT),

so you don't have to learn new ways of accomplishing tasks you already know how to perform.

Just keep using the same familiar Registry Editor --- more efficiently.

RegEditX 2.0 BETA by David Ching (Microsoft MVP)

Website: http://www.dcsoft.com/products/regeditx/

Changelog:

@@version 2.0.0.3

2.0 BETA 3 – July 4, 2004

• Remove extra spaces before and after '\' when pasting key (Jeff Harrison)

• Double-click in combobox selects subkey between '\'. (Sharad Homily)

@@version 2.0.0.2

2.0 BETA 2 - May 24, 2004

Typing enhancements :

• As you type into the combo box, the tree of keys is incrementally navigated. Once the key that you want is selected in the tree, simply type RETURN or the backslash ('\') and the key is completed for you.

• As you type or paste into the combo box, keys starting with common aliases such as HKLM, HKCU, HKCR, HKCC, HKU are recognized and expanded. In addition, the even shorter (LM, CU, CR, CC, U) are recognized and expanded also.

• As you type into the combo box, Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right stop at backslashes, making it easy to select parts of a key.

@@version 1.3.1.1000

1.31 Feb 27, 2002

• Previous version.

Personally 2 main usefulness:

1) Able to launch from Runbox or any command-line simply by typing "RegEditX <enter key>".

2) Address bar (known as combo box) to copy & paste for faster access

It's website says "Works with Windows 98 / ME / 2K / XP"

but scrolling down further, later says

Windows Vista New!

RegEditX work on Windows Vista. However, it needs to be Run As Administrator.

Pls tested under Vista at your risk. (I don't have Vista to test) I only tested & works in XP Pro.
