cdob Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 isnt this update only for vista, or can i download it for xp?I've no idea.Anyway I would neither use XP nor Vista for a BIOS update.Don't you have a DVD or CD drive? What about the CD-ROM solution?
TheReasonIFail Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I've updated the BIOS to the majority of my company's PC's from within Windows without a single problem. So I would think doing it from within Windows would not cause any major problems.I guess it just comes down to what you feel more comfortable doing.
nick94 Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 OMG!!!! i did the bios update and it failed. Now my computer wont turn on when i click the on switch. i do not recommend doing a bios update unless you are having problems. I did it and now i dont even have a laptop.
