Wolf-R1 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Hi all,I installed vLite 1.2RC on a Vista 64 Ultimate machine. Aside from having to install the WAIK software and put the requisite DLL file into the vLite root folder all went well. However, now that I am trying to run vLite I get an Unhandled exception error immediately after I browse to the folder with the files from the Vista Ultimate 64bit DVD.Is there any fix for this or workaround?See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception Text **************System.BadImageFormatException: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. nuhi Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Make sure that wimgapi.dll is from the x86 and not x64.If you install WAIK into the default location just delete the dll and allow vLite to fetch it.
Wolf-R1 Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 It is in there. I installed the WAIK software but had to manually copy that file into the root of the vLite directory. This machine is dual boot with WinXP32 and I get the exact same error with XP.
nuhi Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 "It is in there" doesn't tell me if you are certain it is 32bit wimgapi.dll or 64bit, this error is known when 64bit is used, it should always be 32bit (from x86 folder in WAIK).Also use AIK SP1 if you didn't.
Thrakorzog Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I have noticed that by switching my location of of my installation (CD) directory to the local hard drive from a mapped drive has fixed this problem for me in nLite.
