Th3_uN1Qu3
Make sure it's properly plugged into the PCI slot. If it's an onboard it might be defective.

Th3_uN1Qu3
Can you give the full specs of the machine you have this happening on? The solution i'm thinking of depends on what resources your BIOS assigns to the card.
Marius '95
Does this new device have a valid PCI ID? You can find out by running PCI32 from here.If it does, install the driver. If it doesn't, click Next until it fails to install. It will appear in Device Manager as an unknown device. Marius '95
PCI ID consists of Vendor ID and Product ID (and some other, less important, IDs).They are shown on the first 2 lines for each PCI device, like this:Vendor 1011h Digital Equipment Corp (DEC)Device 0009h DecChip 21140 Fast Ethernet AdapterCommand 0005h (I/O Access, BusMaster)Status 0280h (Supports Back-To-Back Trans., Medium Timing)......If you installed the driver for that unknown device, did that fix your problem?
