CoffeeFiend
AMD announced 2nd quarter losses of 1.2 Billion $ -- the 7th quarter in a row with losses. Their CEO resigned. He's being replaced by Dirk Meyer, an engineer and AMD employee. As some news state, the change in CEO won't really change anything. Their stock just went down 12% too. It's not looking good for AMD.And again, nehalem is just around the corner, etc.Multiple news sources Edited July 18, 2008 by crahak
Th3_uN1Qu3
That's really bad news. Hope they recover somehow... An Intel monopoly on the CPU market doesn't sound good.

Thunderbolt 2864
That is horrible for AMD, and I happen to like AMD too. Hope they recover, they've had enough bad luck already.
joe43wv
I agree with everybody else I sure hope AMD recovers. I build pc's for people on the side and when I order parts I build all my systems with AMD unless the client requests different. If AMD goes away we're ALL in trouble. If AMD is out of the ballgame can you say "price gouging".
