uruguay
Somehow I deleted the Recycle bin from the desktop,2 questions :1)Any ideas how it could be restored?2)Usually when an item is deleted it's stored in the bin until it's emptied. Now that that I don't see it, are items still stored or are they removed right away. If they are removed then I don't need to restore it, OtherwisePlease HelpThanks
xper
1. Right click on the Desktop. In the window that comes up left-click once on Properties.2. In the Display Properties windows click on the Desktop tab. Then click on the Customize Desktop button at the bottom of the window.3. Put checkmarks in the boxes in front of all of the Desktop Icons and then click Ok.4. Try: Restore default also.Note: This is for Windows XP, but should work on allWindows OS. LS_Dragons
... sometimes, the most obvious and easiest solutions are the hardest to find. Open Explorer and go to C drive. Find Recycle Bin in the file and folder list. Right Click on it and then select Send To Desktop (Create Shortcut). That should do it......LS_Dragons

LS_Dragons
Try getting TweakUI - it has an option for renaming and deleting the recycle bin. Maybe it will let you put it back.OR Try using regedit and navigate to this key:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}ShellFolder If the key exists, then the recycle bin is still there. Double click on Attributes in the right pane and enter the following value:70010020Good luck...LS
