Start and end process during RunOnceEX

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm currently creating a new windows CD as the old one seemed a bit outdated :P

So I thought that I should add some programms and get it to do most of the things I normally do when reinstalling, SO, I packed in the VistaDrive and want it to run once to get activated upon boot, so I added the following line to one of my *.cmd-files: "%programfiles%\Vista Drive Icon\DrvIcon.exe"

Then I figured that the cmd wouldn't progress!

Is there any way to let this program run for... let's say 10 secs and then shut down the process, or maybe forcing the cmd to progress nontheless?

(PS: Windows XP SP3 disk)

Why would you need to end process?

Anyway you can make .REG file in which you can put lines for any program to be loaded at startup, and then execute that .REG file with your cmd file to put startup entries in registry.
