DVD and CD distribution

Why are Win XP avaible in both CD and DVD media? Is there any difference?

Win XP is only avaialable as a CD directly form MS. If its on a dvd its a remade version, probably made for an admin unattended install disk

To the best of my knowledge, XP is only available (legitimately) on CD. Vista on the other hand is available on CD or DVD, is that what you meant? If so I don't have a clue.
