jhmac77 Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I did a Nlite install with sp3 in winXP and when I indicated shutdown the computer would not turn off automatically like usual but there was a sign saying I need to turn off the computer. How do I correct this so that it will automatically turn off. I did not change any of the tweaks.Jim
BChimo Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 All you need to do is right click on your desktop and click "properties". This will open up the display properties. From there click on the "Screensaver" tab and then click the "power" button near the bottom. Then on the "APM" tab, click "Enable Advanced Power Management Support". Click "apply" and you're done. jhmac77 Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 First off I have WinXP Home. I don't have a APM button under "screen saver" section. I do have an Advance section and a power button selection. ???Jim
