Aloucard
So here is how im thinking my unattended cd. First of all i don't want to change nothing in the setup procedure. The only thing that i want is to add some extra apps after installing windows, so this step is completed with the RunOnceEx.cmd . Now my questions are these :1. Do i need to create or modify the winnt.sif ?? and if i have to modified it where is it, cant locate it in the xpcd folder that i made (\xpcd\i386\winnt.sif??)2. It is good /integrate SP3 or make it an apps from RunOnceEx ?? (i thought it better to run after install) 3. I want to add .NET 1 + 2 but the link http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/IEXPRESS/iexpress.htm in the Unattended Guide doesn't work.4. For the WMP 11 using RunOnceEx i can follow the same procedure as you pint point here http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/switch/15/ ??Thats all and thank you in advance. Martin H
1. Please re-read the MSFN unattended guide, as this is explained in detail there...2. You should slipstream it with the '/integrate' switch.3 and 4, i cannot help with sorry, as i don't myself use WMP or .NET, but there should be alot of info available on this if searching the board for it... Aloucard
Hey Martin thnx mate, lets then clarify exactly what i want. This cd is intended to be used for my customers, so the onlything that i want is ONLY to add some apps that will be installed after Windows Setup, both 3 steps. The apps that i want toadd is : .NET 1 & 2, DirectX 9, WMP 11, IE 7, Windows Defender and SP3. As for SP3 - WMP 11 - IE 7 ill intgrate them directly to the cd, i found the way how to. Now lets get back to the other sections. For the first section about WINNT.SIF its necessary to make STEP 4 in the Unattended Guide ?? Cause if it necessary hereis what i missed about WINNT.SIF file.About section 3, for the .NET the guide says that you must create first an IExpress package to make that happend, but thelink provided is BROKEN. If you click on that link that i give in my first post you'll see that is broken.About section 4, like i said i found a new workaround about it and slipstream the WMP 11 into the setup. Thanks for your time Martin. Martin H
For the first section about WINNT.SIF its necessary to make STEP 4 in the Unattended Guide ??Yes. About section 3, for the .NET the guide says that you must create first an IExpress package to make that happend, but thelink provided is BROKEN. As i said, i do not have any experience with this whatsoever, but there are several premade .NET switchless installers available, like e.g. on RyanVM's site here : http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/And also on his forum in the section for switchless installer releases : http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=14.If you're having trouble getting any of those installers installed, then you'll have to do some more searching, as there should be a wealth of info available on this specific topic...
