Ok what we know now is that we should not slipstream IE7 & WMP11 first.

The other question is now should we include all the SP2 HotFix for IE7 & WMP11 also into SP3 or are there now HotFix version coming out for SP3 ?

The only HotFix i found where it is written that it is also for SP3 is KB947864

KB947864 (For SP2 only)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en

KB947864 (For SP2 & SP3)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en

Funny is also if i install IE7 without Updates on a WinXP SP3 Machine. And i go then to Windows Update Center and check for updates then no HotFix'es get listed for IE7 o_O

I'm wondering:

What if you install Windows XP with SP2 and then IE7... Without going to WU (or MU) you install SP3, will you be able to get the updates afterwards? From what've seen SP3 blocks IE7 SP2 updates! You need to get them before getting SP3.

I'm really confused... I don't know what to do to get Windows XP SP3 with IE7 up to date :(

ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY APRRECIATED!

OK Listen carefully:

Windows update IS NOT ready for SP3! All of the current hotfixes will need to be re-released because they only have code inside them for SP2...

You Slipstream SP3 FIRST then IE7 and it is currently as up to date as possible right now.

Its just dumb to do IE7 and WMP11 first because SP3 will just overwrite all of the files...

Well... that means that if you install Windows XP SP2 than IE7 than SP3 you'll get no updates (the same goes for Windows XP SP3 than IE7) that's just plain stupid! Grrr... let's wait! At least that's hope they put everything right by April 29.

I had a SP2 ISO, added SP3 via slipstream, then IE7 via nlite. All works just fine.
