Creating a vista boot cd from files in partition

Hi

I am new to this forum and I was trying to find a post on this and I couldn't find one.

I bought a laptop and it has vista installed on it, however no Vista cd. Is there a way to create one so I can do a clean install, wipe the hard drive clean and re-install vista. I have the product key as well.

Any ideas? If there is a post can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hi:

I am new to this forum as well and do not claim to be an expert. Normally when you receive a new laptop with Vista, the OEM provider (HP, Toshiba, etc.) will provide a restore DVD and or a utility to allow you to burn a restore DVD from their hidden partition which contains the restore. Once you have that the the following procedure is on the site. It at the top of the Vista portion and entitled:

Tutorial] Clean Windows Vista Install - No Activation needed 12.

The procedure works well but you will need some version of Vista for this to work.

Cheers. :hello:
