Hey guys,

Me and my friend been trying to get our networks connected together, but he lives about 4 miles away from me and we would love to get our network connected so like, i see his shared files, he sees mine and we can share files and what not and run network apps and stuff like that.

We both have a server, but i dont know what else we need to get it to work, or what, i wonder if there is software that we can run on our servers so that we see our networks, i dont know

we also have server 2003 too.

Well any help would be awesome!

I have tried hamahic what i just dont like it, its a pain, but i wanna do it so its kind if perminant, you know?

What you probably want to do is create a WAN (wide area network).

Not quite sure how to set it up as I've never had to do so, but I'd second that suggestion for using Hamachi or any other VPN software (OpenVPN) as they're fairly easy to setup (especially Hamachi).
