Windows Server 2008 Standard: Windows Server® 2008 is the most robust Windows Server operating system to date. With built-in, enhanced Web and virtualization capabilities, it is designed to increase the reliability and flexibility of your server infrastructure while helping save time and reduce costs. Plus, enhanced security features work to harden the operating system to help protect your data and network and provide a solid, highly-dependable foundation for your business.

How to Install

During setup, select the operating system you want to install, and a Full or Server Core installation. A Server Core installation provides a minimal environment for running specific server roles, which reduces the maintenance and management requirements and the attack surface for those server roles. For additional information on Server Core installation, and the server roles supported by Server Core, see http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008...tions/core.mspx.

Product Keys and Product Activation

Windows Server 2008 does not require a product key during installation. However, Windows Server 2008 must be activated within 60 days to continue using all Windows features.

Windows Server 2008 is designed to be activated with Key Management Service (KMS) by default. In order to activate using the Multiple Activation Key (MAK), you will need to follow these steps after installation completes:

Go to Start

Click Control Panel

Choose System

At the bottom is Windows activation

Click Change product key (do not select automatic activation as this is the KMS option)

Enter the correct product key (MAK) for the edition you are activating:

To activate Windows Server 2008 Datacenter use the key titled Windows Server 2008 Datacenter and Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based Systems

To activate Windows Server 2008 Enterprise use the key titled Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 Standard

To activate Windows Server 2008 Standard use the key titled Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 Standard

Click Next

After a minute you should see the Activation was successful confirmation

Hi gosh,

There no mention of 'Hyper-V' there.

Do you know if its included with one or all the versions in this ISO?

Hyper-V is included unless you download a version specifically WITHOUT hyper-v. The MSDN iso includes hyper-v, btw.
