Tomcat76
Do the HFSLP***.INF files exist in the I386 folder on the new CD (or ISO)? If so, can you ZIP the new TXTSETUP.SIF and attach it here?
zedox
Hi, it appears the files are present in the I386 folder.I've attached the txtsetup.sif file in a zip file as requested.Thanks!TXTSETUP.zip Edited January 31, 2008 by zedox
zedox
Hey guys, any ideas yet? Thanks in advance!
Tomcat76
Your TXTSETUP.SIF seems fine. Have you tried removing programs from the HFSVCPACK/_SW1/2 folders?
zedox
There arn't any files in those folders.
zedox
Umm? Any other ideas?
Tomcat76
Not really. You could check for hard disk errors with chkdsk c: /r (replacing "c:" with the drive your HFSLIP working folder is located on) and using different media.
zedox
It seems to happen on any computer I run HFSLIP on.It's not just at T13 that it happens, its upon first login as well.
zedox
Tom,The problem is caused when slipstreaming windows media player 11.Is there anything I should look out for? Any updates that conflict with it?
zedox
ok, i've tested slipstreaming windows media player 11 completely on its own and the Error: could not locate INF file 'C:\WINDOWS\HFSLIP\IHFSLP151.INF' occurs. What has been changed in the slipstreaming process that will be causing this? Tomcat76
I want to verify if something weird is going on during Windows setup.Do you know how to create an ISO on your own? If so, remove the following line from HFSLPGUI.INF in SOURCESS\I386 using Notepad and save the file:HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce",HFSLIPGUI,0x20000,"CMD /C RD/Q/S %WINDIR%\HFSLIP"This causes the temporary HFSLIP folder (which holds the HFSLP*.INF files) to remain in the Windows folder after installation. zedox
Ok, I've removed that line from the file.Created a new iso and tried again. The error is still coming up at the T-13 stage.
Tomcat76
Sorry to bother you with this, but I would really like to know what's going on there. Can you do this?Start installation. When you get the error message about the missing HFSLP151.INF file, press shift-F10; this opens a command prompt.Navigate to [C]:\Windows\HFSLIP and type dir /b hfslp1* which will display a list of file names starting with HFSLP1 (if the files exist).
