pauluk83 Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Hey all, is it possible to have a wierd and wireless network, but on 2 differant routers.i have a speedtouch 510, ( might be old but works) i want this as my wired network to connect my desktop and laptop, and then i have a orange livebox router that is connected to the internet and handles the wifi.is there a way of having both the connections working.i have tryed but as soon as i connect the wired network i have no internet. i have xp ( desktop) vista on laptopcheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DSL -> Wireless -> wired or DSL -> wired -> wireless?Whichever is at the end should be set as a "dummy switch" and the router functionality turned off, or you need to be sure that the first device is passing through all of the DNS information to the last device.
