puntoMX
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail+ 100 USD.Intel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail+ 88 USD.A-DATA Value Series 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory - Retail+ 19 USD.So, depending on how much RAM you like, you could have new parts for 226USD (2GB) or 264USD (4GB) plus TAX and shipping .EDIT: By the way, with the stock cooler you can hit 3GHz without any problem. puntoMX
is that equivalent to a c2d e4300 allendale clocked @ 3.0ghz?Just half the cache, e.g. 1MB vs. 2MB. Not that much of a difference (else I would have it )...
BombaTwist
hmm when the new stuff comes out(ex: e8xxx), do you think that there will be price drops for the e6xxx and the e4xxx? Edited January 13, 2008 by BombaTwist
puntoMX
For the E4x00 series not that much. The E6x00 will be pushed away a bit by the E8x00 , but even there I don’t expect price drops until AMD releases there triple cored CPUs.
