Aaron Posted July 2, 2002 Posted July 2, 2002 no, it won't bugger your PC up. Some themes also slow your PC down slightly, depending on how graphical it is. It won't affect your internet connection whatsoever.I recommend the hacked UXTheme dll file for anyone not wanting to buy StylesXP, or not needing such bloated software to change a theme. StylesXP and the hacked UXTheme dll file do very much the same thing to allow themes in WindowsXP.
babis Posted July 2, 2002 Author Posted July 2, 2002 oh wow.. i totally forgot about this thread ;-)ya the uxtheme and stylexp basically do the same thing...when i wrote up the tutorial about installing the file was the only thing that u could screw up... it wasn't that the concept would screw up ur comp... it was that if u didn't follow the instructions correctly... oh well..Heck TGTsoft has thier own version of uxthemeDLLpatcher available at thier website..
